Print Support
Everything you need to print on cotton paper with confidence — file prep, templates, turnaround, rush options, and shipping notes.
File Prep
Set up your file cleanly so your print lands perfectly — especially on handmade cotton.
Sizing + bleed
- Document size: set your file to the final trim size (ex: 5×7, A6, etc.)
- Bleed: add 0.125 in (1/8") on all sides for full-bleed designs
- Crop marks: optional — helpful when files are complex
Safe margins + deckle note
- Safe margin: keep important text/logos at least 0.25 in from the edge
- Extra-safe: 0.375 in if your layout is tight
- Heirloom tip: avoid hairline borders (deckle variation can make borders look uneven)
Export Settings
These settings prevent “mystery blurs,” missing fonts, and fuzzy type when printing.
Recommended export
- Format: PDF (print-quality)
- Images: 300 DPI at final size
- Fonts: embed fonts or outline fonts
- Flatten: yes, if your design has lots of effects/layers
Common tools
- Canva: export “PDF Print” + enable bleed if available
- Adobe: embed fonts; keep vector text crisp
- Procreate: export high-res; verify sizing before sending
Templates
Drop in your text and artwork — templates keep layout fast, consistent, and print-ready.

Turnaround
Timelines vary by quantity and services (printing, liners, addressing). Here’s how to plan with confidence.
Standard timeline
- Standard production: 10-14 business days
- When the clock starts: after proof approval + payment
- Best practice: build in assembly + mailing time after delivery
What can affect timing
- Design revisions / proofing rounds
- Large quantities or multiple SKUs
- Address list cleanup and formatting
- Peak wedding season volume
Rush Options
If you’re under the gun, tell us your “needed-by” date. Rush is availability-based — we’ll confirm what’s possible.
Rush production
- Rush timeline: 5-7 business days
- May include: rush fee, simplified finishing, or reduced proof rounds
- Best for: reprints, small suites, day-of items
How to request rush
- Send size + quantity + services needed
- Share your deadline and event date
- Upload files (even if not final)
- We confirm timeline + price
