1Upload your design
JPGs can't hold transparency — a JPG always has a flat rectangular background (usually white), which will cover the paper color underneath. If that's your case, upload it, then try "Remove background" below.
Best for flat, simple backgrounds — a logo or text on plain white. It knocks out whatever color sits in the corners of your image, so it works well removing white behind black text, but it isn't built for photos (like two people on a beach) — it'll just cut a hole wherever that same color shows up, including in the photo itself.

Swatches ringed in blush are auto-suggested as closest matches to your design's dominant colors once you upload one — see Step 3.
