Why we show both a name and exact inches: stationery size names vary by market, and “A-series” is actually used two different ways — see the note below. Bliss always shows exact dimensions so you can order with confidence.
Relative size, smallest to largest
2.5 × 3.5 → 3.25 × 4.75 → 4.25 × 5.5 → 5 × 7 → 4 × 9

Fold relationships
- A5 flat sheet → fold in half → A6 folded card → Bliss A6 envelope (4.75 × 6.5)
- 7 × 10 flat sheet → fold → 5×7 folded card → A7 envelope
Two naming systems, one page
You'll see A-series names used two different ways here: A1/4 Bar, A2, A6, A7, A9 are the U.S. Announcement/envelope series, sized in inches — used for our card + envelope pairs. A3, A4, A5 are the ISO 216 (European) series, sized in millimeters — used here only for parent/production sheets. They share letter names by coincidence; a true European A6 sheet is not the same size as our A6 envelope. A5 folded in half lands close to that European A6 size, which is why we call it an “A6 folded card” — it's a description of the fold, not a claim that it matches our A6 envelope exactly. Our A2 also serves as an A6 in practice, since it fits comfortably inside the roomier Bliss A6 envelope.
Handmade deckled edges
Bliss deckled paper is mould-formed by hand, so dimensions are nominal — approx. 4.25 × 5.5 in, for example. Slight variation from the listed size is normal and part of the handmade character of the sheet. Cut-edge products are shown with exact finished dimensions.
